Hi there, I want to create a promotional code that is for one-time use by any given user on registration.
As a previous user mentioned in this post – https://eventespresso.com/topic/individualized-one-time-use-promotion-code/. However the answer gave is not correct. The ‘Number of uses’ field seems to apply to all users of the website. So if you set it to one use, if any user used the promo code, it expires for everyone.
I need a promo code that any new user can use just once for their first event for a discount. is this possible?
On the face of it yes I suppose that would work, but on a larger scale that simply is not feasible to manually be creating promo codes for every new customer as they register. From what I can tell there isn’t a way of automating this in any way?
Currently I am requiring users to have a website account to register for events. So the plan is when a new user is sent their account confirmation and password, I also include a discount code valid for one-use for new users. This would be fully automated.
But if I have to create new promo codes per new customer this process would require manual input and be very time consuming.
That’s correct, the promotions add-on does not have an automation feature.
