Rather than send a notice with a link to click to get their ticket, can I copy and paste from the Ticket Template message and put that into the Ticket notification email message?

Hi there,

No, you can’t include the ticket directly within an email.

The QR’s within the tickets are generated using a JavaScript library which runs in the browser, you can’t include those directly within an email.

Okay. I will make the “click here for ticket” font a LOT bigger 🙂

I wanted to include the event name in the email title or at least the email body. I can’t find the short code for the event name.

The message system shortcodes will only display on sections where they have ‘access’ to the specific ‘entity’ they relate to.

I assume you are referring to the ticket notice email above and for the event name you would need to be within the ‘EVENT_LIST’ section, which you will see is empty by default because it isn’t called.

So, it is possible to add a section to list out the event names in the mail body (not the title, unless you hard code it into custom templates selected on specific events for that title) but as you’ve asked about combining these.

Would it not work for you to include the link to the ticket directly within the Registration Approved message template? (You could also send both if preferred).

For the Ticket Notice (Event Espresso -> Messages -> Default Message Templates -> Ticket Notice -> Registrant):

Including the Event Title in the body can be done by adding the [EVENT_LIST] shortcode within main, then using at least [EVENT_NAME] in the EVENT_LIST section. You may need to play around with how you display those details to get it looking correct there.

For the Registration Approved message (Event Espresso -> Messages -> Default Message Templates -> Registration Approved -> Registrant):

You can add [TXN_TICKETS_APPROVED_URL] to the main content for a link to the tickets (add it into your own link tag within text mode to create a link).
