Had a relatively smooth transition into using your plugin but I’ve noticed for the past year that there have been some odd transaction failures. We’re using the free version currently as a tester before moving to purchase but this has knocked our client’s confidence in the system! I love it by the way (made my life 10x easier developing)
The Mijireh dashboard says payment has been taken successfully – as does Worldpay but for some reason the user isn’t being placed into the event/ given a ticket.
It’s very rare it happens but as we’re working with hundreds of pounds per ticket I was wondering if there was a straightforward solution so our client doesn’t have to start playing accountant and rejecting people from the course bookings. I read in another topic about a CRON job that could be run to double check if payment was taken but couldn’t find further information on this.
As it stands there isn’t a cron job that can be added so if WorldPay hasn’t finished the transaction by the time the ticket buyer returns to your site, someone will need to log into the WordPress dashboard and open the transaction. When the transaction is viewed, it will check with Mijireh on the status of the payment, then it will update it accordingly.
That’s fair enough, I’ve just tried viewing 8 of the failed transactions that we have down as completed and only two updated to reflect the completed status.
Is there a way to extend the wait time on the Worldpay end before the user comes back to the website that you know of? If not I’ll have a word with the client about moving their payment away from Mijireh.
I don’t know of a way to extend the wait time, that’s not something that we have control over.
