Hi,
I need to link up the “Payment Received” email sent out by Paypal with the “Registration Approved” email that gets sent out. I am using EE4.
Is there a “Paypal Transaction ID” shortcode I can enter into the message template?
It would also work if I could pass the “Registration Code” from EE4 to Paypal somehow.

Hi Margaret,
All available messages short codes for Event Espresso are already shown in the messages editor (varies depending on message type) and there isn’t a short code for the PayPal transaction ID at this time.
We are currently discussing some options for making information for both emails available in a single email.

Is there a way to pass the EE Registration Code to Paypal? If it needs to be a custom thing – which file should I be looking at?

Hi Margaret,
I’m not sure how this would be passed to PayPal, it would likely need to be passed as another line item which would mean your users would see this as part of the checkout process.
To edit the gateway go to event-espresso-core-reg/modules/gateways/
Copy the Paypal_Standard directory and place that within wp-content/uploads/espresso/gateways/
Then edit the files there.
