Inaccurate Payment Status

Hi

We have had some other issues come to light as I have followed up some incomplete bookings on our Saturday cooking club for April and May.

April
On one event – two people are showing as not paid/incomplete under registrations.
However the payment has gone through to our bank account.
Another received payment confirmation 27/2 id875. We are still looking for this payment.
Any idea why this happened?

Several people have said they had problems booking particularly when entering more than one child. They have had to abandon bookings and try again. One abandoned the process completely. Again these are showing as incomplete bookings. One lady said that she had no prompt for payment at the end of registration. I have had to follow up 7 abandoned registrations in May which is quite a large proportion.

Is it possible to look into this?

Also, when we get registrations through, we only get details of the first child if more than one child is booked. Is it possible to check this also?

Have any of your registrants/attendees reported any errors during registration checkout or have you experienced this issue when testing on your end?

Hi Lorenzo, yes, registrants have reported errors AND we have experienced the issue our end too.

Thanks, do you remember what the errors were?

Was it a first name error or could you share a link to any event page so we can share more feedback after trying on our end?

Hi,

That is helpful but it does not have information on a specific error. Without the actual error, then we would be guessing on what is causing the issues.

Could you post a link to the event page?

I find it impossible to make a registration for this event

Also, there is something very wrong with the shortcodes. They are only sometimes working. http://sassystirrers.com/teenage-classes/ On this page, and others, the shortcode is appearing, but the events to which it relates are not. This is very odd.

And tell me what shortcode is in use on that page please?

Then go to Event Espresso -> General Settings -> Critical Pages.

Does it show ‘Page Status OK’ and ‘Shortcode ok’ for each of the 4 critical pages listed there? Like this – http://take.ms/Ww3TO

This page appears to be working, though the others aren’t. On checking the critical pages like you suggested, there is a shortcode problem for Registration Checkout Page.

Hi Tony. Since writing the past post, this page is now rendering incorrectly, like it can’t find its CSS. Any idea why this is?

…only when I’m logged in. When logged out the page behaves OK.

Hi,

Here is how to get back on track. There are four WP pages (e.g. critical pages) that help with registrations on your site.

If you go to Event Espresso –> General Settings –> Critical Pages, then you should see all green like this:

If there is a problem, then edit the page to add the correct shortcode and save changes ensuring that the page is publicly available.

Then you can create a new WordPress page and add the following shortcode and publish it:

[ESPRESSO_EVENTS category_slug=all-events]

Does that then resolve the issue?

Thanks Lorenzo, I have done as you suggested and it does seem OK now. However, I am still not certain that the issues I originally reported have been resolved. It’s hard to confirm this as some of them are issues in registering and paying. So, I think it may be best to keep this ticket open and see if problems persist.
