Using french, and importing french canadian language file .po and .mo to wordpress:
I am using wordpress in french, but my WP did not indicate a specific type of french (Canadian or France).
I imported the po and mo files and renamed them “event_espresso-fr_FR”. the FR ending worked for me although my WP version should have been the _CA. Not sure why, but since there is more translated in the FR version it seemed to make sense to use that one.

Hello, there are some languages in our GlotPress project that may appear to be similar versions. However, they are different due to the localization.
For example, there may be some words or phrases that have a slightly different meaning between French (Canada) and French (France).
