Basically, we would go trough the registration process twice, once for complimentary tickets and second for paid-for tickets. As our main contact from the company will most likely be a complimentary ticket, we wouldn’t want the first paid-for registrant to receive all the others’ details as the primary registrant. So, can I import contacts from a spreadsheet and just send the emails containing the tickets?
I’ve read elsewhere that EE4 does not have this feature, but EE3 does? If that is the case, can we downgrade to EE3 while registration is open and then re-upgrade to EE4? How will this affect the features we have presently and how long/difficult is the process to downgrade/re-upgrade?
If you are already running Event Espresso 4 and then switch to Event Espresso 3, then move back to Event Espresso 4, then the new information will not be merged with the old information.
This is because Event Espresso will detect that Event Espresso 4 was previously running in the past and won’t trigger the migration process. In order for the migration process to be triggered, then you would need to remove the existing information for Event Espresso 4 and then you’ll be prompted to migrate. However, this will result in the original information before moving back to Event Espresso 3 being lost.
I would add those existing guests that are not already in the system manually:
