Hello Support,

We followed the instructions here: https://eventespresso.com/topic/importing-ee4-qr-code-into-avery-name-badge/

“Hi there,
You can’t include the generated QR within the CSV as the QR’s are generated within the browser using JS, however you can include the details used within the CSV into the CSV. It looks like Avery will generate QR’s for you so as long as you have the value you can created the QR.
The QR code is generated using the REG_url_link value, you can include that within the CSV using this:
https://gist.github.com/Pebblo/735d17aa2c4b5939bc1aa0c687815bca
Add that to your themes functions.php file or create a Custom Functions Plugin”

I used the code without modifying it, question is, am I supposed to change the REG_url_link to some other value or use it just like it is?

I created and uploaded / activated the custom plugin in WP.

We exported the registrations csv and do not see a QR code.

You use it as is and have Avery generate a QR code containing the value of REG_url_link.

We exported the registrations csv and do not see a QR code.

You won’t see a QR code in the CSV, the QR is generated within the browser so you can not include that within the CSV:

Do you see a REG_url_link column within the CSV now?

The QR code contains the REG_url_link value for the registration, so you generate a QR code using whatever method you prefer (apparently Avery can generate QR codes from a value so your just passing Avery the value it needs) and can then scan that using the EE4 apps to pull the REG_url_link again.

Tony,

Yes the Reg_url_link is there now thank you! It is showing in the import as “Registration URL link” but it has the correct attribute attached:

Registraion URL link[REG_url_link]

We will try the Avery according to their app and like you said “The QR code contains the REG_url_link value for the registration, so you generate a QR code using whatever method you prefer (apparently Avery can generate QR codes from a value so your just passing Avery the value it needs) and can then scan that using the EE4 apps to pull the REG_url_link again.”

I’ll let you know how it works.

Dave
