I tried to import registrations using the importer addon. After uploading the CSV file there are a ton of fields that need to be populated. When I choose the drop down on any field it is always the same 4 options.
Amount Payment Should Be For
First Name – System Question
Last Name – System Question
Email Address – System Question
I added those options in the fields where they’re supposed to go and some imported registrations are wrong, some say overpaid and I can’t delete them. So anyone who purchased 2 tickets has now seemingly “overpaid”. And I just re-imported in hopes that would fix the problem but now I have duplicates of registrants which cannot be deleted, some of which are overpaid, some are duplicates of successful imports. How do I remove these duplicates and fix the ones that say they’ve over paid? It says I must delete the payment before removing any duplicates.
I figured out how to delete payments and now I see what has happened during the import. The other registrants of people who bought 2 tickets have been marked as primary registrants. So for example Mark Smith bought 2 tickets, one for himself and one for his wife Mary Smith. Upon import, it separated the 2 as both primary registrants. So now Mark has overpaid by 1 ticket and Mary still has yet to pay. Any ideas on how to remedy this?
The importer add-on does not support group registrations, so each registration that’s imported will be a primary registration. What you can do to balance out the payments is edit the payment for Mark so it matches the amount for 1 ticket, then add a payment for the other registration. You can add edit/add payments by going to Event Espresso > Transactions, then open each transaction there.
Awe man, that’s what I was hoping to not have to do because there’s already a ton of group registrations for 2020. Thanks for the info, glad to know it wasn’t something I was doing wrong!
