I was just looking for some information about a past student and I saw my events only got back to march of 2013, yet I use to have data on events all the way back to 2011. I clicked filter all events. Is my data gone or am I just not looking for it the right way.

Any input would be appreicated.

Hi Ted,

I can’t answer for sure, but the likely answer is the events are still there, but you need to hit the Next “x” rows button to see the next group of events.

This is because EE3 will paginate or only retrieve so many events in one shot. In cases where there are thousands of events, if it tried to retrieve all of them at once, the server might time out.

I know how to page through my events. There are 5 pages of events, but they stop in 2013. I click on the 5th page, next page, last page… It seems as if they are gone.

What am I doing wrong if I’m doing nothing wrong where did they go?

Hi Ted,

You said you filtered All (Active/Inactive), right?
Can you try to select “All” in the dropdown next to “Show __ entries”?

You can also look directly in the database using phpmyadmin which is typically found in your host’s control panel (or c-panel). The events are in the _events_details table.
