Do you have MailChimp installed and activated? If so, can you update it to the latest version? If you do not see an update notification, please go to Event Espresso > General Settings and click Save. This should trigger an update check, and you should see an updating notification in the Plugins menu.
Let me know if you have still have the error after these steps.
When you go to the settings tab on the promotions admin page, do you have a Settings tab that you can click on? If so, can you click settings and click Save.
If not, can you try deactivating all other Event Espresso add-ons? If deactivating all of the other add-ons helps, please let us know which add-ons were activated and we’ll investigate further.
