This is really a continuation of a previous query about embedding a page from another website in an iFrame.

My issue now is whether there is a way to widen a column, or the layout, of only 1 page in order for the iFrame to show correctly. Using Parabola theme I have the page & column width wide enough but think It looks a little odd on other pages.

So is it possible to set the layout and/or column width for this page differently/separately to other pages?

Thanks

Hi, thanks for opening a new support post for your new question.

Could you provide more information on the issue that you are experiencing?

Is a link or some screenshots available?

No worries, realised I’d gone off-topic!

Here’s the original page http://www.racetecresults.com/StartPage.aspx?CId=16410

here’s where I want to place it http://supersportsevents.me/race-results/

which you’ll see under the original theme.

I’ve been playing with Parabola under Theme Test Drive and need the main column width at 1300 pixels in order to fully read some of the linked pages.

1300 pixels looks a little odd as a standard layout, so I was wondering if it is possible to only have that layout for one page, and maintain a slightly more normal 800 pixel main column layout for other pages?

Thanks

Hi,

This is out of scope for support, but basically you could create 2 pages on your site, and add the iframe to each.

Then set the page template one to normal and one to full width. Depending on the theme there may be a selection of page templates or even none. If none you would need to create one or more page templates for the theme.

You may also need to modify the themes CSS especially if the default width doesn’t extend to 1300px.

Also you will have the problem of what happens if the visitor is just a mobile/tablet or small monitor, as the iframed page will not change size to suit.

Thanks for trying Dean.

I’ll have a look, but I may just leave it as it is!

Thanks loads
