Hello, at a recent event we have 2 individuals who ended up with the same ATT_ID. They had different REG_IDs. This is a problem since we use this data in an event cron, and also creates GDPR issues for us. |
Hi there, Can you provide more in-depth details on this. Do you know any of the circumstances around how it happened? The ATT_ID basically IS the person, so how have they been assigned the same ATT_ID? It’s an auto-incrementing ID so EE_Contacts can’t have the same ID, but multiple registrations can be assigned to the same ATT_ID. |

I HAve no idea. Discovered it as we used the att-id to send participants a letter. One person then got one with another persons name. That’s when I checked the details that they have identical numbers. It’s not even that the reg_id are one after the other. So they bought tickets at different times through different accounts. If you need to look into this further we need to take this conversation private |

Hello. I can provide the different I’d numbers but I’m not sure what more info you are requesting? |
Can I take a look at the registrations in the admin? I’m not really sure if anything will stand out but I’ll happily look. If so you can use this form to send temp login details: https://eventespresso.com/send-login-details/ Within the message section add some details of the registrations I need to view and I’ll go from there. |
Hello. Did you figure out what happened? |

Hi there, Apologies for the delayed reply but I’ve been looking into this and I’m not sure I follow the issue. You included a screenshot with registrations and I used that to load them within Event Espresso. Those 2 registrations are linked to the same EE_Contact via the ATT_ID, meaning the same person, where is the additional ‘duplicate’ person? When looking at the registration questions the answers for both of those registrations match and those aren’t related to the contact, so as it stands with the info I have it looks like a user simply created 2 registrations with the same details. It’s actually 4 registrations as both of those were part of a group registration with the same details for each group? EE will link both those registrations to the EE_Contact it finds using the ATT_ID, ATT_ID is not expected to be unique for every registration if someone has registered with those details previously. |
