Hi there,

I’m experiencing the same issue as mentioned in this thread.

My .ics files open with an event invitation as opposed to a calendar invite. We’re using Outlook 365. The result is the same when clicking add to calendar from the event and from the link I added to the registration e-mail using [ICAL_LINK_*].

Can you give us a link to your event details page so we can try downloading the file from your site?

I’m not sure I follow here, the ICS is setup as an Event invitation.

Do you have an example of an ICS that opens how you prefer?

The content of the ICS is filterable so you can change it, but I’m not sure I follow what you are trying to change.

I haven’t gotten to the point of changing any content within the .ics file.

When you click to add an event to the calendar, the .ics should look like this (with a “save and close” to finish the process:

When I click to add an event to the calendar with Event Espresso, it looks like this:

If I put my name in the “to” and click to send the update, it does add it to my calendar. But this isn’t standard and I’m worried that people will not understand the hoops they need to jump through.

Can you send me both of those to support[at]eventespresso.com so I can compare them?
