Hello dears,

WP 4.0
Event Espresso – 3.1.36.6.P
No recent upgrades
http://www.sintjansberg.be/events/agenda-3/

All ics files you can download on my page refer to the same date, 1 jan 1970.
I did some research and checked and changed the date format in the WP settings, this is fine.

What could cause this error and how do I solve it?

Hi,

Please edit the event and check that there is a valid start and end date for both the event and the registration periods.

If there is, please advise the format entered.

Hi Dean,

Thank you, I get the error for all the events, the dates are fine.
What do you mean with ‘please advise the format entered’?

Thanks

Hi,

Does this issue continue when only Event Espresso is running?

Hi Gijsbert,

I think Dean is asking about the date format that’s set in WP Settings General. What happens is, PHP cannot always disambiguate the date if the date is in a particular format. Please see this section of the ical documentation for more information on how to fix this:

Ok, I got only EE running now and it works with the date format in 2014-10-31 but not in other formats 🙁
Good start though.

Can I just hide the ics file link on all pages?
It doesn’t work with the date format we want it to work with.

You can remove the ics link using an option within Event Espresso -> Template Settings.

On that page you’ll find ‘Display an “Add to my Calendar” icon/link in the event templates?’, set that to No and update the settings.

The iCal link should then be removed.
