I did not get a new lisc key when I purchased upgreade. It says the one I have is not active. I am new to this and I have 60 clients who need to register and my site looks like it is under construction with no view of calendar page. I need help please. Thanks

Hi Sharon, I’m not sure I understand what is broken on your site. Your support license key can be found here:

https://eventespresso.com/users/hmoran/#account-settings

Could you link to your events calendar page so we can take a look?

Hi Lorenzo. Thank you for responding. How do I link my calendar page so you can see?
I have no optimal theme scroll of photos anymore. I have no calender page with 30 days and boxes for each day and art party events posted with photos of each painting. It looks like it is in construction and I don’t know what to do. It says that lisc. key is not working. You will need to explain most things as I am not a web developer. Thank you

I am feeling frustrated. I lost another day of work trying to deal with this and wish there was a way to talk over the phone. I don’t know how long I need to wait for a response. I have new clients that probably will not sign up for my classes and I am at a loss. It does not help that I am not educated enough to know what I am doing.

Hi, could you paste a link to your site with your events calendar page in a reply here?

Thanks

I am not sure if that was the one you were looking for or if this is:

Thanks, this is the link we needed:

http://www.brushstrokesandwinenotes.com/events/

The calendar is partially loading and there are errors on the page.

Could you go to WP dashboard –> Event Espresso –> General Settings? Then scroll down to the end of the page and look for the support license key field.

Copy and paste your key in that field and save changes. Your support license key can be found here:

https://eventespresso.com/users/hmoran/#account-settings

Next go to the plugins screen in your WP dashboard.

Look for Event Espresso in that list and also the Events calendar add-on for Event Espresso. You’ll see both of them appear there.

What are the version numbers for Event Espresso and what is the version number for the Events Calendar add-on?

Version 2.0.B.1

Alright, the software that is in use is the issue. The short answer is that they are both a couple years old and they likely can’t connect to the update system. Try these steps to move to the latest software:

1) Deactivate Event Espresso 3 and the events calendar add-on.

2) Delete both from your site by using the delete links in the plugins screen in your WP dashboard

Now you can install the latest software.

3) Go to this link:

https://eventespresso.com/users/hmoran/#ee3-downloads

4) Click on the link for Event Espresso 3 and a file will download to your computer.

5) Click on the link for the Events calendar add-on and another file will download to your computer.

Both will be small zip files.

6) Go back to your WP dashboard and go to Plugins –> Add New –> Upload.
Now browse to the zip file for Event Espresso on your computer and select it and upload it. Allow it to upload and click on Activate after it is finished.

Then repeat step 6 above and this time select the zip file on your computer for the events calendar add-on.

Reply here once you are finished with the steps above so we can take another look at your events calendar page.

Thanks

Ok all were deleted and new ones downloaded and up loaded and it looks like its old self. Thank you. However, I still am not able to upload any photos like I used to in the calendar box with date and
registration info. Also, all my other email and customer information from past parties are gone.

in my plug in it says:
The Atos gateway has been removed from Event Espresso core in 3.1.37. Please download and upload the Atos gateway to /wp-content/uploads/espresso/gateways. Please see our documentation for more information

Hi Sharon, you can dismiss the ATOS messaging. It only applies if you are using that payment gateway. We moved it out of the core plugin as it was quite large in size just by itself.

Your prior data can be found by filtering the dropdown menus in the events overview page to show prior events (e.g. deleted or another status).

Great. Is there a reason why I cannot upload photos to the calender that you can see? Thanks

Hi Sharon,

We can’t see because we don’t have admin access to your WordPress dashboard. Does it give you an error message when you try to upload a photo?

Hi Josh, No it does not give me any message. I usually copy the url and paste it in an event meta box. The key is the event thumbnail and the value is where I paste the url of the jpg. I do the same thing as I always have done, but nothing. Now I get an option to insert media into the post when I upload the photo…I have not been successful with that either. Thanks. Hope that made sense

Hi Sharon, previously you were using a version of Event Espresso that was a few years old. The first couple steps that you described does not sound like the current featured image option.

There is now a featured image upload widget in the event editor. It looks like this:

http://cl.ly/image/0a2R0n2C1S1T

After selecting an image, you’ll need to click on the Insert into Post button:

http://cl.ly/image/0c0U2s1t0w2h

Then you’ll see a preview of the image appear in the widget and you can save changes to the event.

One other thing to check is to ensure that the calendar settings have images enabled. You can make this change through WP-admin –> Event Espresso –> Calendar Settings –> Display Settings –> Enable Images in Calendar:
