I would like to be able to remove or change the following text:
“Make sure you return to this site in order to properly finalize your registration.”
I’m not sure what this text is for since the user is notified via email when they register it is recorded on the admin side for myself to see. I’m thinking that this is confusing. What does the registrant need to do after they pay to properly finalize their registration?

Hi,
The text is used for PayPal, as it is preferred that the user returns from PayPal to your site to make sure that the payment is properly logged.
The only way I can see to remove this would be to “translate” the text. You could use on of these methods: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/how-to-change-wording-with-poedit/
The exact string to translate is:
Upon submitting this form, you will be forwarded to PayPal to make your payment. %1$sMake sure you return to this site in order to properly finalize your registration.%2$s

Hi Braden,
With the current version of Event Espresso 4, this can be changed through your WP dashboard by going to Event Espresso –> Payment methods. Then click on PayPal and change the description content and save changes:
