Hi,

I’d like to setup an event which allows people to buy multiple tickets without having to enter personal information or register for the the additional tickets.  At the moment you can enable group registrations and no ‘info required’  but that only creates 1 x ticket with X quantity on it.

This isn’t very useful if your buying tickets in advance and A don’t know the names of the people your buying for and B if each participant want their own tickets if they want to arrive separately.

Is this possible?

Thanks,

Jason

Hi Jason,

Did you enter a quantity in the “Max Group Registrants” field? If so, then the “Number of Tickets” dropdown should display the number of tickets entered in that field (screenshot: http://www.screencast.com/t/HSo5iIBVy).

Hi Seth,

Thanks for replying I should have been clearer, having a read the forums more its likely there isn’t a present solution but…  All I would like is when a customer buys more than 1 ticket without having to register or duplicate personal details. (group registration with no personal details) say 5 tickets then 5 individual PDF tickets are generated/availble.  This works now but you need to register personal details.  For a leisure event i.e. concert of festival consumers typically don’t need to register personal details for the people they’re buying for.

Reading through the forums this doesn’t appear possible, but its typical ticket buying behavior for a concert where you register the payee details and you get however many e-tickets they buy.

It would be great to know this is possible.

Jason

Hi Jason,

If you set up your Event Options like this (http://bit.ly/10WvYeP), it will not require the additional attendees’ information. I don’t know that this setup would work for you, because it will issue one ticket that can be scanned multiple times (the number of registrants added).

Hi Jonathan,

Thanks for getting back to me I think I need to simplify my question as I’m not sure I’m articulating my

Desired Outcome:

I would like buyers to be able to purchase more than 1 x ticket (same ticket type), say five tickets and receive 5 PDFs / e-tickets without having to enter personal information for the other four tickets.

Usercase Scenerio:

Bob goes onto http://www.shopnewcastlegateshead.com/tickets and buys five tickets for a music festival called RYTHM he enters only his personal information (first, last name & email) and billing details and makes the payment.  He then receives an email confirming payment and registration to the event, on the email are links to 5 e-tickets.  He decides to download all 5 PDF’s and send four PDF e-ticket to his four other friends so that they can arrive at the event at their own time and be safe in the knowledge they each have an e-ticket.

I hope that clarifies my original question

Thanks,

Jason

Hi Jason,

The scenario that you describe is possible if Bob sends out the same ticket to his friends as the one he receives. It will be good for 5 scans at check in. The default ticket template will print a quantity right on the ticket as well.

Hi Jason,

Sorry, we don’t have this functionality in place at this time. However, it is possible with some custom programming.
