Hello, my name is Guy Michaels and I just purchased EE4 and just found out that the recurring events plug in (which is why I bought EE4) is not compatable with it? What?

I have a recurring show that runs the same days and times each week of the year. I am having to enter each show individually!! What a pain. Is there not an easier way to do this??

Currently I am duplicating the events. However I have to go and remove the **DUPLICATE** tag from the header as well as modify the date that each of my 4 different ticket (prices) is on sale.

Is there not a default “tickets will be sold until” area such as the tickets go on sale NOW button? By default the tickets go on sale now and go off sale when the event is over. Is there an easier way to do this?? Please?

I have over 200 shows a year and this will be a major time consuming PITA if I have to do each one individually.

HELP PLEASE!!

Also, I cannot log into my account on my iphone using the HD app. I enter the url of my website the user and pass word and I get 404- Sorry can’t log in. It doesnt say why I cant log in.

Hi Guy Michaels,

The Recurring Events Manager is compatible with EE3, not EE4. So to create recurring events within EE4 each instance of the event will need to be created manually.

As you’ve mentioned the Duplicate event feature can be used to speed some of this up a little, but is not intended as a solution for multiple recurring events as each instance needs to be manually edited.

The event espresso ticketing apps are designed for EE3 and the JSON API to work.

Due to you requiring recurring events it sounds like EE3 may suit your needs more than EE4 currently, we can transfer your license to EE3 so that you can use EE3, the Recurring Events Manager and the EE3 Ticketing apps if you prefer?

**Note the EE3 licenses also include access to EE4 so that once EE4 does suit your needs you can migrate over to using EE4.

What do I do to switch?? Who can I SPEAK TO ON THE PHONE? Is this going to require me to set up STRIP again?? What is involved? I HAVE NO IDEA what a JSON API is????? I am the end user… the performer. I am not a programmer or a developer. I am going to need SUPPORT (PREFFERABLY IN THE FORM A THE TELEPHONE and not an endless email nightmare)… is that possible?? Please??

Hi Guy,

We currently only offer support by forums, and I’m sure we can help you this way. If you are not seeing any emails from the sales team in your inbox, please check your email client’s spam folder.

After your account is set up to include EE3 and its add-ons, and the sales team will contact you about that, you can remove Event Espresso 4 and install Event Espresso 3. Then you can set up the JSON API plugin to allow communication between your website and the iOS HD app. You’ll also be able to use the recurring events manager to manage your recurring events.

If you prefer that someone from Event Espresso staff make the switch, we can install Event Espresso 3, the JSON API, recurring events, and configure Stripe. This service is available when you purchase a basic install with configuration.
