When I attempt to cancel or trash registrations to an event, a page comes up with the following:
“HTTP 500 error
That’s odd… the website can’t display this page
The site may be under maintenance or could have a programming error.
Try this
• Go back to the last page
• Try contacting the website’s owner”
I am quite new to this process so any assistance would be much appreciated.

Hi there,

Error 500 is basically a generic error that the server displays when there’s an error on the server side. This is correct in that you don’t want the full error message on display to your visitors, although also don’t want the error in the first place 🙂

Does your host give you access to the error logs within your control panel? If so you will likely find the full error there. If you can post that here we can investigate further.

Can you post the exact steps you are taking to cancel/trash the registration?

Also, your site is currently running an older version of Event Espresso 4, is there something preventing you from updating to the latest version? (currently 4.9.66.p)
