I have created an event where I am accepting payment and Purchase orders. I made the “Will you be paying by Purchase Order?” a required field but unfortunately (if I recall correctly there is not a conditional logic to make if yes then the next field is required). How can I determine the difference between pending payment abandoned tickets and pending incomplete tickets?
On a side note is there a way to clone the tickets/registrations from my live site to the development site to test with?
So have you not enabled an offline payment method (such as Bank or Invoice) for users to select when they want to register using a Purchase Order?
It sounds like you adding a question to the registration form but then users have no way to select an offline payment method to indicate that is how they will pay, which means you can not identify those registrations without editing each on and viewing their response to the above question.
Can you link me to the event in question so I can take a look?
On a side note is there a way to clone the tickets/registrations from my live site to the development site to test with?
No, but I’m not sure why you would want to?
Unless I’m misunderstanding the question, would you not just create a test event on the dev site and add your own registrations?
I just ran a test registration and can confirm you have an offline payment method enabled, however, if your users aren’t completing the registration, selecting the offline payment method and then clicking to finalize EE has now way to show those registrations differently from others.
In order for EE to show the registration as complete, they need to complete the steps and finalize. If paying via PO when they select the offline payment method and finalize, the Transaction status will update to ‘Incomplete’, before that it will show as ‘Abandoned’.
As for the side note, your right I could recreate the registrations but was hoping for a quick copy of what was made on the live site. Thanks,
The problem with doing that is if you transfer ‘live’ registrations from users from your live site to your test site and then start experimenting on those you risk triggering messages etc which could cause confusion for your registrants.
We recommend creating test registrations on your test site and not pulling in your live registrations.
