Just to confirm, this is when using the Automated Upcoming Event Notification add-on, correct?
If so are you currently using the latest version? (v1.0.0.beta.098 at the time of writing) The reason I ask is we have some code in the add-on to confirm the event is either published or sold out before sending out the automated reminders.
Are you using the ‘Event’ reminder or the ‘Datetime’ reminder?
However, I noticed it was decided not to run the event on the 24th and the three day notification was sent on 23rd April, 2019 12:03 pm for an event that was on 27th, which although not three days does explain it.
Just to confirm, the correct thing to do it make the event inactive.

Ah ok, so the emails were sent before the cancellation.
I’m going to run some additional testing on this to see if I can trigger emails earlier than expected.

You need the event status to be anything other than published (or sold out), so set the event status to cancelled or postponed and save, that should prevent the emails.
