We use Event Espresso for our schedule. We are noticing that there is often a multiple hour lag between a registration and when the email is delivered to our inbox. We use Authorize.net for payments. How can this be an immediate delivery?

Hi there,
There a couple of possible causes for this, we added a message queue into EE to prevent issues with slow mail servers preventing registrations so messages need to work through that queue before sending. To do that a page on your site needs to load after ~5 mins to work through each of the 2 steps to generate and then send the messages, so if your site doesn’t receive very much traffic that can delay the steps.
You can switch back to instantly send if you go to Event Espresso -> Messages -> Settings
You will find the option ‘Generate and send all messages’
Set that to ‘On same request’ and that should speed up the messages.
However if the problem persists after that it’s likely an issue with the mail server you are using as EE will trigger the email and then its all up to your mail server after that.
So with the above setting do the messages arrive quicker?
