Hi Team,

Is there a way to skip “Event’s details” page?

When clicked on an event on calendar, client want it to go directly to registration form page. Do not want the page where event’s detail are displayed along with selecting tickets.

regards
Su Yuen.

Hello Su Yuen,

That registration flow isn’t currently available. A registrant would need to click through the from the events calendar and then begin registration from the single event page.

Hi Lorenzo,

Ok, in that case can we put the registration form in “event’s detail” page?
As the events are free, there will be no fee, so no need to proceed towards payment options.
Can we put the entire registration form under “ticket selector” table? So there will 1 less page to go to.
Because client want to lessen the steps as she thinks it will too mcuh for users to make a simple registration.

SuYuen.

Hi,

The only way to speed up the process would be to enable the Ticket Selector in the event list page. The users can then select the ticket and go straight to the registration form after that.

In your site, go to Event Espresso > Events > Templates tab > and under the Event List Pages section make sure “Display Ticket Selector” is set to yes.

Hi Dean,

I set “Display Ticket Selector” to yes for every event. I think you are not understanding my point.

1.Here is the calendar with events as “School Visiting hours”.
http://linode.mokomomo.com/betweentwotrees/?page_id=90

2.Select event from 14th August “Dempsey Hill School Visit Hours 9am-10am)

3. You go to this page (event detail page):
http://linode.mokomomo.com/betweentwotrees/?espresso_events=dempsey-hill-school-visit-hours-duplicate-20
4. Select ticket and click on “register”.
5. You to registration form page.

Now what i want to do is Skip step no.3 and 4.
Client wants that when user click on event from calendar, it will directly go to registration form.
But if selecting ticket is necessary then is there a way to put registration form
in this page
http://linode.mokomomo.com/betweentwotrees/?espresso_events=dempsey-hill-school-visit-hours-duplicate-20
??

regards
SuYuen

Hi Su Yuen, the option that you are asking for is not available for the events calendar. The option that Dean shared is for the events listing page (e.g. example.com/events/).

The thing to keep in mind here is that registrations in Event Espresso 4 begin with a registrant/attendee picking a ticket option and clicking on the register now button. The events calendar takes you to the single event page first because an event can have multiple ticket (pricing) options.

Thanks

Lorenzo

Hi Lorenzo,

Thanks for the clarification.
There is another thing i need to ask.
Can we hide the description appearing in this box? When we hover on event in calendar?

See image: http://i.imgur.com/fYNBsDM.jpg

But at the same time i want the description to be visible in “events detail page”.
See Image: http://i.imgur.com/rcraSZW.jpg

Is it possible to do?

Regards
SuYuen

Also, can you tell me how can i edit “Ticket’s table”?
I want to change the text “Available Tickets” and
“* Please note that a maximum number of 4 tickets can be purchased for this event per order.”

Which file to edit?

Hi Su Yuen, are you wanting to only show the title, event time, and register button?
