Hello, how can configure the system to prevent the waitlist registration requiring payment?

Hi there,
Waitlist registrations don’t require payment, EE uses a separate form to collect waitlist registrations which does not show any payment options.
May I ask where you see the option to pay for these registrations?

Thanks for the quick response.
On the event page, the button to sign up appears once the event is sold out as it should.
When the user clicks the Waitlist button, the events payment is the only option in the popup:

The waitlist form displays the tickets on the events and the price set on them, so the ‘preferred option’ dropdown lists the tickets on the event so the user can select a ticket that their registration should apply to.
They won’t be charged to join the waitlist on the above form, the user adds their name, email and preferred ticket option and then submit the form. EE will process the request and create an EE_Registration(s) for them using those details and then set the status to Waitlist.
If a spot opens up and the waitlist registration is promoted to Pending Payment, they can then edit their registration and pay for the ‘preferred option’ they selected (aka, the selected ticket).
