I have a specific ticket type listed under an event. Although the tickets haven’t completely sold, the event organizers would like to manually set these tickets to a “Sold out” status and concentrate on selling the other ticket types for the event. Is there a way to do this?
I tried to reset the end time of the tickets to expire early, however the ticketing message now says “Expired”, not “Sold out”. Is there a way to make it say “Sold out”?

Making the adjustments you suggest does work. However in addition to the paid tickets, we have some 40 outstanding registrations that have yet to be paid – we expect them to pay by check via USPS. Will it be a problem converting those registrations to “PAID” when the payments arrive?
It shouldn’t be a problem to update those registrations via the admin. You can just head over to the Event Espresso > Transactions page in the WP admin, search for the person’s name, then apply the payment.
