Please could you tell me how to set up my event so that I have
1) admission tickets (max 2000 to sell)
2) [optional] tokenTicket (no maximum, and when one is sold, is mustn’t reduce the admission tickets number)
We want to sell admission tickets, but also sell (for the same datetimeline) a ticket which can be exchanged for beer tokens on the day. If I set it up as another ‘ticket’ then I believe that when one is sold, it will be deducted from the admission tickets – is that right?
Please could you give me guidelines how to configure this?
You can either, create 2 datetimes and 2 tickets within the event.
Ticket A (Admission) would be assigned to Datetime 1
Ticket B (BeerToken) assigned to Datetime 2.
Then use the datetime limit on Datetime 1 (set to 2000) to limit the number of admission sales and that would be the datetime you monitor for admissions, then use the other for beer tokens with no limit.
That way sales from the admission ticket apply to the admission datetime and sales from the beertoken ticket apply to the other datetime.
OR, not use the datetime limits at all and create a single datetime with 2 tickets. Set the ticket limit on the admission ticket itself and leave the other limits.
The second example only uses the ticket limit, one that ticket sells 2000 tickets it will show as sold out, users can still purchase BeerTokens even if the admission ticket is sold out.
Hi Tony, yes that’s really helpful. I’ll give it a go, many thanks.
