How to edit separate registrations with same contact name

I have two separate registrations that have the same contact name. The same person submitted two registrations for different ticket types and are on two separate transactions – one for herself and another ticket type for her colleague. I don’t see the “create contact” button for the second registration because it’s not a multiple registration ticket. When I try to change the name on the second one, it also changes the name on the first ticket.

Hi,

What you could do is cancel that second registration, then add a new registration for that same event with the correct name & other information.

Ok. It’s on an archived registration ticket with a promo code. Since I can’t apply more than one promo (one to get it to the EB rate, one for group discount), will I have to approve this registration with a balance left over?

You won’t have to because you could either:

a) Make an admin only ticket and select the admin only ticket at the correct price
or
b) Add the registration and before adding any payments, go to the Event Espresso > Transactions page and hit the link. Then you can apply the promo code, then close that tab. Then you can go into the transaction and apply the payment for the correct amount.
