I simply just set srights css to display: none; but there has to be some actual way of doing this rather than just modifying the css??
Also, documentation seems a bit outdated. I do not have any option called “Social Media” under the “Event Espresso” menu in WP.
Setup and Configuration
Login to your WP dashboard and go to Event Espresso –> Social Media.
This page (Social Media settings screen) shows all available options for various social networks and the options are explained below.
To be honest with you, I don’t know what it is called. I’ve got the social buttons in the top menu bar and footer menu bar. I’ve also got the same buttons floating on the right side of the page next to the scroll bar. I thought this was related to the Social Sharing EE plugin, which I’m using. It appears on all the pages of my website. I thought there might be a settings link next to the Social Sharing plugin, but there isn’t. I just disabled it by modifying the srights css entry and wanted to know if there was some way to do it in the web UI or if this is the proper way of doing it. I find it much easier to hack and rewrite code than stumble my way through GUIs.
Yes, I guess you must be correct. I’m building on the plain vanilla Iced Mocha theme. There doesn’t appear to be any options there to disable this feature in the theme itself. Anyway as I’ve managed to disable it using css, let’s leave it as is; I thought there might be a simpler answer for this. I haven’t got a link to share at the moment since it’s on a dev server. Thanks for your help!
