Hi there,

Is there any way to stop this, so that I start an new event with NO datetimes and NO tickets?

Not currently, all events require a Datetime and Ticket so EE creates a default set for each new event.

I’m using the Recurring Events Manager to create recurring datetimes, and it’s inconvenient to have to remember to delete the automatically generated datetimes and tickets *every* time I create a new event.

Unfortatuely, if we did not automatically create a default datetime/ticket we would need some other way to manage that situation which would likely cause the same (or more) frustration.

For example, say we loaded the Datetime Manager (recurring manager) on new event loading you would then need to create datetimes before actually filling in the details for the event.

Or if we didn’t allow the event to save/publish without a Datetime/Ticket created we’d have other users confused as to why.

As the current system requires at least one of each for each event we create those by default and the user has the option to do what they need from there.
