How to change transaction status from abandoned to incomplete?

Hi,

I have registrants that have filled out the form for registration completely but did not pay due to a custom code error for a waiver(they could not get to paypal). They are listed as abandoned with registration status Payment pending. Here is the issue. There are about 70 of these and some registrants have duplicate abandoned registrations and some of the 70 have successfully registered since. But It is not easy to navigate the registrations back and forth in multiple windows etc.

So I would like to in order of best to worst solution:

1. Change all abandoned transactions with payment pending registration status to simply incomplete payment so I can export in excel.

2. Bulk email all abandoned transactions to remind them to pay to complete their registration, that it is not complete.

Please help, I just discovered all these and event is in 4 days.

Hi Michael,

1. Change all abandoned transactions with payment pending registration status to simply incomplete payment so I can export in excel.

Currently you can’t alter the status of transactions in bulk so this would need some custom development.

2. Bulk email all abandoned transactions to remind them to pay to complete their registration, that it is not complete.

You can manually force the registrations to resend the ‘Registration Pending Payment’ message, that includes a link to pay within the email.

Note that it will NOT update the transactions status unless the user uses the link to pay.

Would that work?

You need to manually select the registrations from the Event’s registration list.

Go to Event Espresso -> Events -> {hover over event name} -> Registrations.

You now see all of the registration for that specific event.

Click the checkboxes next to the registrations you want to send the email to and in the bulk options select ‘Set Registration to Pending Payment and Notify’ – http://take.ms/E1p1W

Click the apply button for the bulk action.

Whichever registrations you selected will have their status set to Pending Payment (if its already Pending Payment it will remain) and the Registration Pending Payment message will be triggered for each of the registrations.

Select your registrations in smaller batches and work through the list triggering the emails. (You can alter how many registrations are displayed within the list in the screen options at the top of the page, however don’t set it too high or you’ll cause the page to timeout)
