I had to change the date of an event that somebody had registered and paid for. The new date wouldn’t work for him, so we agreed that I would refund his payment. I have done so within EE and it shows his balance being credited fully; however, I don’t see anything showing up in either PayPal or my bank records.
Do I have to issue the refund payment myself separately from EE or is EE supposed to handle it?
Refunds need to issued through your payment provider.
The refunds applied in EE are to allow you to records of any payemnts/refunds made but to actually process a refund you need to do that through whichever payment provider you are using (in this case PayPal)
