How to add question group to a message template

i have a question group containing one item Dogs Name which is needed at registration – how can i add this to the message templates for the invoice – payment receieved etc please? i can see how to add a list of fields on the template but not the dogs name field

Hello,

That can be done in two steps.

First, get the exact name of the question by going to Event Espresso –> Registration Form and then clicking on the question. If you do not see it then click on Screen Options and increase the number of questions that are shown at once and save.

In this example (http://cl.ly/400g371f2B0O), the name of the question is:

Name of Dog

Then go to Event Espresso –> Messages and look for the payment received message and then click on the recipient. For example, if this is the message that goes to the primary registrant, then click on primary registrant.

You could then add the following to the main content area:

Name of Dog: [PRIMARY_REGISTRANT_ANSWER_*Name of Dog]

…while substituting “Name of Dog” with the exact name of your question.
