How to add form answers to the invoice

How can I add the answers people give to custom question on the registration for to the final invoice.

Hi Ace,

Assuming you’re using the current version of EE4, you add the [QUESTION_LIST] shortcode to the invoice template, then inside the [QUESTION_LIST] section of the template you add:

[ANSWER_* Exact text of the question]

If there is an answer for that question for the registrant, that will take the place of this shortcode.

Hi Josh,

Thanks for the reply. I’m not sure if I understand, can you please give me an example. I need 2 of the answers show up on 2 different parts of the invoice.

Hi Ace,

You can also put one answer in the [ATTENDEE_LIST] section. So for example, if you have a question that says “Are you bringing your pet to the event?” you would place the following in the [ATTENDEE_LIST] section:

[ANSWER_* Are you bringing your pet to the event?]

Please bear in mind that the invoice template can display answers to questions from within sections of the invoice that deal specifically with registration data. Other sections that deal with pricing for example do not include registration data.
