I paid to renew my Event Expresso plug-ins. They are active on my website, but have no functionality: I can’t create an event (and really need to do so post haste!)
What do I need to do to get going?
Running EE Version 3.1.36.4.P
WP 3.8.1
Site is not a new installation, nor upgraded
find it at mooseheartcoaching.com

Hi John,

How are you today?

What happens when you try to use Event Espresso? The Event Espresso functionality is not conditional upon your license key so can you tell us more about what is not working exactly?

You can activate your license key by adding it to the Support License Key field on the General Settings page.

Hi Garth,
I’m good; very busy as leaving town tomorrow. And how are you?
My license key is there in the field for settings; I’m assuming that did not change when I renewed my license.
I can create an event by clicking Event on the WP dashboard. I can add Title, Description, Excerpt, Custom Fields, Author, and SEO settings. Can’t add a date, venue or price and buy button, or other critical data to the event.Without these, the functionality is useless. I have created events in the past successfully, but not since I renewed my license.
I also recall a problem in renewing that I was charged for a new license and not a renewal. Is it possible I was assigned a new license code? If so, what do I do? I don’t even know where to look for the code.

Hi John,

The License key does not affect the functionality of the plugin other than automatic updates.

Have any updates (to any plugins) been made recently?
You could try de-activating and deleting the plugin, downloading the lastest copy from your account page (Event Espresso v3.1.36.4 currently) and uploading it manually.

We have a guide post here, it is for manually updating Event Espresso, but the steps are the same:

https://eventespresso.com/wiki/updating-event-espresso/#update_manually

I would also advise backing up the site before doing this, its good practice to do so before updating any plugins. We have a guide for that posted here:
