I’m setting up a registration for a conference. There are four different room options (all dif prices) and I’m wondering if I can accept partial payments for “reserving” the room. My questions is, can participants go back at a later time to pay their remaining balance? And, does this program keep track of all payments made and remaining balances?

Currently Event Espresso does not officially support partial payments.
Event Espresso 4 currently allows you to input manual payments within the admin and the user can then pay the remainder, however this would still only allow a single ‘online’ payment from the user at this time.
So lets say you charge $1000 per ticket, the user registers onto the event and selects invoice (the will also receive an email with a payment link). They then send you a cheque for $200. You can manually enter this into EE4 and if the user uses the link within the email they will see an owing amount of $800. However if they wish to make another partial payment, this once again would need to be done via cheque and the payment applied via the admin until the the user is ready to make a full/final payment they can do so using the online gateways.
