Hi,

on the invoice, I would like to show the dates (without times) and the venue instead of the description. How can I accomplish that?

Best regards
Renate

Hi there Renate,

Are you using Event Espresso 4.6.x?

It has an editor available for the invoice template:

The information could be swapped out in this area:

Hi,

no, we are currently on 4.4.10 and are just about to go live. I’m afraid that we’d have to start over with the adjustments and test we’ve made if we switch to 4.6 now.

Hi Renate,

It’s advised to update to 4.6 because 4.4 is no longer supported. If you decide to stay on 4.4, you’ll need to edit the invoice template directly, copy it to the /uploads folder, and pull the information using PHP.

ok, so after a couple of hours EE4.6 is upgraded. I placed the tags in the respective areas, but it doesn’t work – screenshot.

The tags instead of the venue title and venue place are shown. How can I solve this?

Hi Renate,

Can you do a screenshot of the template editor where you have those shortcodes input?

I’ve tried these two:
http://prntscr.com/635kwj (please ignore the event name tag, I got an error and removed the tag)

and then this:

on the invoice.

Hi Renate,

While the dates get display in the [DATETIME_LIST] section, you can add the venue shortcodes so venue information displays before the tickets by adding the shortcodes and html to the Main Content and Event List sections like this:

Thanks Josh.

I tried to find a good solution using a configuration as you described, but for us it doesn’t really make sense to display the event date in one place (e.g. datetime section) and the event place in another (main content / event list).

Anyway, the site broke when we made some modification using WPML. Since there are some missing strings / translations in the new version, we decided to go go back to the previous version and manually added the date and place in the ticket description. Not really satisfactory, but my client is under deadline pressure and wants to start selling tickets!

Hi Renate,

If and when you make the update to 4.6, please note that you can place the shortcode that displays the datetime section within the same section where you place the Venue info. This way it’s all in one place.
