Hi, I have created an event in EE3 and have set 3 different prices, but now I want to set a limit on the ticket sales for each price because obviously there is only a limited amount of seats available in the venue. I also want to map each of those tickets to the seating chart… but to start off how do I set the limit for tickets at each price?
If you have the seating chart add-on active, and you are using a seating chart for an event, you do not set the prices in the event editor. The seating chart takes care of the price for each seat. Since each seat is given a price, this takes care of setting limits as well.
Along with that, here’s a link to the guide on how to set up a seating chart in our documentation:
but if I don’t use the seating chart, can I still set a limit on the amount of tickets sold for each price in EE3? Let’s say the venue has only 3000 seats of which 1000 will be vip seats at $100 each and 2000 which will be regular seats at $50 each. Can this be done with EE3? The reason I ask is because I didn’t see an option for setting a ticket limit for each price range in EE3.
Hi, Event Espresso 3 does not support setting an attendee/registrant limit per pricing option.
This is set on the event level via the attendee limit field in the event editor.
