The Invoice option and form could be useful for me, but I’ve recently realized that the Questions and Answers don’t print on the form like they do for eg the Registration Approved message form.

I tried copying

  • Question: [QUESTION]
  • Answer: [ANSWER]
  • from Registration Approved form and pasting that into the QUESTION_LIST block on the Invoice form, but nothing changed in what came out on Invoices, so apparently I’m missing some magic.

I have about 6 questions – would like all printed on Invoices. I’m guessing this is something simple that I’ve overlooked. Could not find anything helpful in support docs; might be there, just could not find it.

    Thanks!

    Hi Michael,

You need to then paste the [QUESTION_LIST] into the [ATTENDEE_LIST] area, then the [ATTENDEE_LIST] shortcode into the [EVENT_LIST] area, and finally, the [EVENT_LIST] shortcode into the Main Content area.

I see this in the announcement today:
New shortcodes for the messages system which handles notifications for event admin (event authors) and registrants/attendees. We’ve added the following shortcodes:
[RECIPIENT_ANSWER_*] – retrieve and display and answer to a question for a registrant
[PRIMARY_REGISTRANT_ANSWER_*] – retrieve and display and answer to a question for a primary registrant

Does that affect the answer to my original question?

    Hi Michael,

Yes it does affect the answer.

The new PRIMARY_REGISTRANT_ANSWER_* shortcode is available in the Invoice message and is used like this:

    [PRIMARY_REGISTRANT_ANSWER_*My awesome question]

That will then display the primary registrants answer to the question “My awesome question”

So if you wanted to show the users age (What is your age?), I would add this to the invoice:

    Age: [PRIMARY_REGISTRANT_ANSWER_*What is your age?]

RECIPIENT_ANSWER_* is not available in the invoice, but used in other message tpyes.

Ok, thanks. That’s going to help some people, I suppose, but I get a lot of multiple registrations so not me.

What I was hoping to find was a way to print something that has all the info (all questions, all registrants) on it for clients who pay by cash/check. Looking at Google Forms and other answers outside of EE4.

    Hi,

    Sorry for the late response!

The [QUESTION_LIST] shortcode added to the ATTENDEE_LIST section will list out the additional questions for the attendees
