I did the obvious thing of moving no-longer-needed questions (the events have been deleted) to their Trash container, then Bulk Action/Delete Permanently. Unfortunately I got an error message in return “An error has occurred: No Questions or Question Groups were selected for deleting. This error usually shows when you’ve attempted to delete via bulk action but there were no selections.” Apparently I somehow cant select these questions for deletion for some reason that is not obvious to me.
If they can’t be deleted, can I at least take them out of question groups? All I can find is adding a question to a group, not deleting one.
And is there a way to access the Questions/Question Groups page without going to an event and scrolling down that page to get the link on the right sidebar?

Hi there,
Apparently I somehow cant select these questions for deletion for some reason that is not obvious to me.
Are you clicking the checkbox next to each question to be deleted and then selecting the bulk action?

There I’ve selected just one question to perform the bulk action on, the other is locked because the question has registrations linked to it so can not be deleted as is.
Event Espresso will only let you delete a question from the system if there are no registrations with answers to that question, otherwise, you’ll end up with orphaned data in the database.

Yes, you can remove questions from groups.
Go to Event Espresso -> Registration Form -> Question Groups.
That will list all of the question groups you have within Event Espresso, you can then edit each group and add/remove questions from each of the groups as needed. Edit the group, uncheck the checkbox for a question already in the group and save, like this…

This is answered above but I’ll highlight both sections.
To add/edit questions go to Event Espresso -> Registration Form -> Questions.
To add/edit question groups go to Event Espresso -> Registration Form -> Question Groups.
