I need to back up my database to migrate my existing EE4.6.25.p (Core) data to EE4.7.0 (Core). I don’t know anything about backing up a site and don’t want to lose existing data for events.

Hi Laura,

The easiest way to backup your site is using a plugin and there are multiple choices when doing so, eventually you will find the one that you prefer (they all do pretty much the same thing, just some have added features and others are very basic)

Here is one I use:

https://wordpress.org/plugins/backupwordpress/

But there are multiple choices available, heres a review of some of the common ones:

If using backupwordpress then you go to Tools -> Backups and hit Run now – http://take.ms/3zZ7B

Save the backup to your computers hard drive (and not just on the server) and you have a backup 🙂
