I would like certain events which are free to show up in the event list without the green register button. I need to be able to do this selectively for free events. Thank you.

Is it only the event listing page that you want to remove this from?
If the user loads the single event page should they be able to register?
You can disabled the ticket selector on a per event basis, which may suit your needs, this is done within the event editor under ‘Event Registration options’ – http://take.ms/etoM3
If you can provide further details on how you want this to work we can provide more details.
Sorry for the delay in contacting you. What I am trying to achieve is to remove the register button for which there is no ticket selector or ticket that is created. I think that it is misleading to have to include a register button if there are no tickets being created. I just want to show that there is an event happening. Is there an option to remove the register button for which NO registration is required?
In that case you should be able to use the ‘Display Ticket Selector’ options from above. When the event is set to not show the ticket selector the submit button changes to ‘View Details’.
So if that is set to Yes, the event will look like like this – http://take.ms/2reGa
