Since a couple of months we use Event Espresso for the bookings of our events. However we also would like to use the same tool for hotel rooms bookings.
I have created a new event with an event datetime and setup the different kind of tickets (single room, double, triple, …) with the different prices.
However I cannot figure out how that I can use this for different kind of rooms. For example: If they want to book a single room we need the name, surname and birthdate for 1 person. If they want to book a double room, we need both names and birthdates. If they book a triple, we need the 3 names.
How would we be able so set this up in Event Espresso?
Currently, we don’t have any kind of ‘conditional logic’ within the registration form which would allow you to specify specific questions based on the ticket selected.
One way you could do this is to set up the tickets as ‘bundles’:
This basically forces the ticket selection to be either say 0 or 2 (for a double room) and you set the price in Event Espresso as the price per ticket (a $50 room would be set at a price of $25 in the admin, because they would have to select a qty of 2 for it)
You can then set up that event to require the Personal information question group for the Primary AND Additional registrants to collect everyone’s details.
Thank you for your response. I have tested with the ticket bundles, but the main disadvantage is that you can only reserve 1 room at a time. In our case users need to book sometimes 2 or 3 rooms at the same time.
That allows you to add questions to the registration form with values that are added to the transaction if selected. However not it is a 3rd party addon which we don’t provide support for.
