We are migrating our site to a new web host. On the test site, the events calendar isn’t loading. http://calm-sink.flywheelsites.com/events/ When logged into the test site, I can see all of the events and registration on the EE plugin that are the same as the live site. Will the calendar populate accordingly once I point the DNS and the domain matches our license key? Is there a way to make sure there was no issue with the database or anything not migrating correctly. I’m worried about making the switch and then something not being there. |
Hi Katrina, The calendar is loading for me, are you still running into problems?
No, the license key does NOT effect the functionality of Event Espresso. Any issue with license keys are completely separate to any issue you may have with EE at that time π
The best way is to run a registration and make sure it works as expected and you also receive the messages that are expected. Then create a quick test event and make sure no errors are shown when adding the event. You should know fairly quickly if there was an issue with the migration, usually settings will not save, registrations will not work etc. |

Thanks for the info! It looks like all is fine with the migration, and EE is running really well and much faster with the new provider, too. Score!! Do I need to request a reset or something? We have this message in the WP Dashboard: Your support license key is only valid for one domain at a time, and our licensing system has detected that you are using your license key on multiple domains. Please log in to your Event Espresso account to manage your Support License Keys, or if you have concerns, please Contact Us. |
Great! π
When you domain changes you need to request a key reset, you new site was active on a ‘temporary’ domain during the migration which then triggered the above. I’ll reset your license key now to fix this. You’ll need to go to Event Espresso -> General Settings. Remove the license key (cut), save the settings, replace the key (paste) and save the settings once more. Be sure to check for whitespace before/after the key before saving. You will also receive an email with these instructions. If you have any further problems please let me know. |

That worked perfectly! The issue is resolved. Thanks!! |
You’re most welcome π |
