Hi there,

A couple things:

1) WordPress does not fully support PHP 8.1, they only have Beta support. So you might run into issues running PHP 8.1. Event Espresso does not have full support for PHP 8.1 either, but feel free to report any issues you find here and we can look into them: https://make.wordpress.org/core/handbook/references/php-compatibility-and-wordpress-versions/

2) You do need to plan to migrate to Event Espresso 5+, which is intended to be a replacement for EE3 which will eventually be deprecated. If you have an EE3 license, you should have access to the updates to EE4 or EE5 so that you can migrate. https://eventespresso.com/wiki/how-to-upgrade-event-espresso/#migrate-to-event-espresso-4

3) Authorize.net is deprecating their old api integrations. One of the newest we support is accept: https://eventespresso.com/product/eea-authorizenet-accept/

Does that help?

Your account has access to EE4/5 already so that you can make that migration when it’s the best timing for you.

Thats to switch your current license type, but your current license has access to EE5.

Scroll down a little further on that page to the downloads section:

https://monosnap.com/file/rwvTVtNydcRxeMuz35gdYExtYJIltW

Download EE5 from there.

Then (preferably on a staging/dev/cloned site first to test) de-activate EE3 and its add-ons, then install EE4, activate and run through the migrations.

EE4+ is a different system to EE3, the way it works is very different and the event’s output to the front end uses your theme much more than EE3 does so it is recommended to test it out away from the live site first.
