I have an event that I dont want shown with the rest of the events on the calendar. I did a search of the forum and the answer seemed to be set the status to waitlist. However when I go to the event the the block with the status no-longer looks like the screen shots in the previous posts. There is no dropdown box to select the status instead there is a graphic there that says “Upcoming” when I create a new event the graphic says “Inactive”.

What do I need to do to create a hidden event that is only visible if you have the link to the registration form?

Hi John,

The forum topic you read had some information that was accurate for Event Espresso 3 only.

Starting with version 3.2.11 of EE4’s calendar, you can set multiple categories in the shortcode and the calendar will display only events that match the categories.

So for example if the events you want displayed are assigned to event category IDs 20, 23, and 30, your shortcode will be:

[ESPRESSO_CALENDAR event_category_id='20,23,30']

and any event that’s not assigned to any of those categories will not be displayed on the calendar.
