One of my client setups has the same events, but various different ticket offerings. There are ticket times from the last 2 years, so the list is getting rather long. Is there a way to hide / clean these up?

Hi there,

So they are basically adding additional DateTime/tickets into the same event each time?

Currently, the only way to remove those would be to manually delete the registrations and then remove the DateTime and Ticket from within the event.

However, another option they have is to duplicate the event and replace the original with the duplicate with only the newly required Datetimes/Tickets, which allows you to free up the ‘new’ event and you can work on the ‘old’ on separately if need be.

To do that, edit the original event and click the duplicate button under the event title. I would open it in a new tab so you have both open.

Setup the ‘new’ dupe event to be your ‘next’ event, so set the datetime and ticket up as your would normally be adding to the original.

On the original event, change the title and slug to have say the date in it (it needs to be unique so you can ‘replace’ the slug in the duplicate to replace the event and use the same links you did previously).

Update the original event.

Now in the duplicate, remove the **DUPLICATE** text from the title and the slug will likely have -2 on the event, edit and remove that.

Update the event.

Your ‘new’ duplicate event now loads on the same link your ‘old’ event does, you’ve basically replaced it with a copy of the event that doesn’t have all the previous DateTime/Tickets/Registrations.

You can now privately publish that original event to keep it out of view if preferred.
