Hide or Remove Expired Ticket Options?

We have a number of expired ticket options that appear on the registration page above active/current ticket options. This has created some confusion for registrants, and we would like to remove the expired ticket options, or, at least perhaps sort them to be ordered BENEATH active ticket options.

Example found at this link:
http://floridaherbalconference.org/events/general-registration/

Our IT programmer is currently overseas, and I am not personally familiar enough with CSS to trust entering code without creating other errors. It would be ideal if this could be removed or hidden within the software vs having to code it in. (I was considering deleting the expired tickets, but am concerned it would affect registrations associated with those ticket options). If it can only be removed or hidden by code, please let us know where in the code to enter it.

Thank you!

Edit: We realized we could drag and drop the order, so we did remove the expired tickets to the bottom of the list which helped limit confusion; but, would still love to be able to hide them in possible.

Hi Emaily,

Do you currently have a way to add custom CSS to your site?

Currently EE4 can not remove the expired tickets from ticket editor without additional code, however you can remove these using some custom CSS.

How/where you add this depends on your site, however we usually recommend using either the My Custom CSS or Reaktiv CSS Builder plugins to add custom styles such as these.

You can then add something like this css:

.ticket-sales-expired {
display: none;
}

Which will remove the expired tickets from view.

If your developer would usually add these styles to your theme I would still currently recommend using one of the above plugins until he is available to do so.

Hello again Emily,

We wanted to let you know that there is now a template option available that can hide expired tickets from the ticket (pricing option) selector.

It is available in a current version of Event Espresso 4 and can be found in WP-admin (WP Dashboard) –> Event Espresso –> Events –> Templates. Then scroll to the end of the page and look for the Ticket Selector options. You can then set it to not show expired events and then click on Save to save changes.

Thanks

Lorenzo
