Hi there,

That documentation is for EE3, it looks like you have EE4 so it won’t apply.

Can you let us know what it is you are trying to achieve? There may be another way to do what you need.

Hi Tony!
I appreciate your prompt reply. In addition to my Public Cooking Classes that are open to anyone registering, I also offer Private Events; I like them to be visible on the Class Calendar but do not want any Registration or Add to Cart feature.
Please understand, I am sixty, and not too savvy with all this. The person I paid to build my site said he isn’t familiar with Event Espresso, and suggested I reach out, Please let me know if you need anything else to make things easier. I appreciate any help. Thank you!

Sure, so you want the event to display as normal but people can’t actually register onto the event?

You can do that by setting the ‘Display Ticket Selector’ option to ‘No’ within the event.

So if you go to Event Espresso -> Events -> {click on your private event or create one}

You should now be in the event editor for that specific private event. On the right you’ll find the ‘Event Registration Options’ and within that the ‘Display Ticket Selector’ option – http://take.ms/yJKFv

If you set that to No the event is visible on the site by no user can register onto the event, is that what you are looking for?

Yes, it’s exacty what I meant and it worked, so thank you so very much for your help and giving me a link to actually point to the place. So helpful for this old broad!
Take care,
