What colour ‘status bar’ (the coloured bar to the left of each message) do those messages have?
There is a key at the bottom showing which status each colour represents.
Do you send your emails through an email provider or just use you hosts mail server? For example, do you use a plugin such as WP SMTP through say gmail, or just leave your host to send them.
They are orange (Failed Sending, Can Be Retried) when I hit send immediately it says An error has occurred:
“No message was sent because of problems with sending. Either all the messages you selected were not a sendable message, they were ALREADY sent on a different scheduled task, or there was an error. If there was an error, you can look at the messages in the message activity list table for any error messages.”
The emails are just being sent through the plugin like always. Should I get a wp smtp?
you can try another smtp plugin, have you try send email test through your plugin or your WP? I’m using WP Mail SMTP and using 3rd party email services, works until now

Event Espresso doesn’t do anything to ‘send’ emails itself, it generates the content and then passes them to wp_mail() to send the email however your server is set to do so.
By the sounds of it, you’re using your hosts own mail server and if that’s the case then yes, sending emails via SMTP may work better for you.
